All dogs, cats, and ferrets should be vaccinated against rabies.
Ask to have rabies vaccinations updated, even for indoor pets. Accidental bites from wildlife can happen (your pet might wander off, or a bat could get into your home through the attic or chimney).
Do not approach raccoons, bats, skunks, foxes, coyotes, or any stray animal showing unusual behavior or neurological signs. Cases of rabies in cats have been reported in the region!
Rabies is fatal for both animals and humans.
Get your pet vaccinated during your next visit.
Protecting your pet and your family is your responsibility. It is a matter of public health!
