Chiot BeagleComplete parasite prevention, including ticks, has never been simpler than in 2019! Now, with just one simple chew per month, your dog can be parasite-free!

We have been waiting patiently for protection against ticks, fleas, heartworm, and intestinal parasites to be combined in one, simple chew. Two well-known molecules (oxime of milbemycine and afoxolaner) that have been used for years in separate treatments, are now available in one flavoured, chewable tablet. One dose, once per month, and you`re done!

Milbemycin Oxime, for prevention of heartworm (dirofilaria) and intestinal parasites such as round worms, whip worms and hook worms, and Afoxolaner, for prevention of ticks and fleas, are still available in separate treatments.

Tick season in Quebec is in full swing as soon as the temperature climbs above 4° Celcius (new studies indicate 0° Celcius), which usually occurs at the end of March/beginning of April.

As soon as ticks become active, it is very important to start oral (chews) or topical prevention (liquid drops applied to the back of the pet) as soon as the change in temperature occurs. For the months of April and May, we recommend treating for ticks and fleas only. Then, from June to December, the new, combined treatment against all seasonal parasites can be used in the place of two separate treatments per month.
